Heritage Lake Scout Camp
Heritage Lake Scout Camp

Benkolin Lodge is set umong tall trees, overlooking Heritage Lake, north of Candle Lake. A small kitchen is located inside the building, along with some tables, chairs and 8 bunk beds. The camp covers approximately 5 acres including direct access to the eastern shoreline of the lake.

The camp is a perfect spot for canoeing, hiking, pioneering and other activities associated with a woodland camp. A nice paddle along the south shoreline will reveal a couple white-sand beaches, marshes, and an abundance of wildlife. Northern Pike and Walleye can be caught with basic fishing tackle, producing an opportunity for that perfect shore lunch we've all dreamed about.

The camp has a couple canoes available, but PFD's and paddles must be supplied by the rentor. Water must be hauled in as well. At this time, there is no power at the camp.

In the winter months, the camp is accessible by 4-wheel drive vehicles.
