Blood Donor Chalenge. The Girl Guides and Scouts have a friendly completion every year to help out our local Blood Services. If you, your friends or family donate blood throughout the year, please tell the nurse at the front desk that you are part of the Scouting Organization to register our points. Parent Youth Night
March 5-8
Wild Life Federation Sports and Leisure Show. This is our annual fundraiser for our Scout Camp. This is a camp we use for day trips, weekend excursions and all section camps. Doing this fundraiser helps us maintain and cover costs for repairs. Your help is needed. We are in charge of our regular bannock booth and door security this year. A sign up sheet will be available for security shifts. We ask that each family take at least one shift. Registered Youth are welcome to accompany their parents, please have youth wear their formal (full) Uniform. Once your volunteer shift is over, you are welcome to enjoy the show for free. November/December News Letter Beaver note for November and December
Hello little beavers, well winter is fast coming up and we have much to do.
First off I want to say a big Thank you for all your hard work in selling popcorn we were able to reach our goal as beavers to sell $1600.00. Good job! Sadly we were about $1300.00 short of our Pacific heights group goal to shave off Scouter Blaire?s beard; maybe next year though.
Next week is our investiture, All Beavers are to be in full uniform, Parents are encouraged to stay for the meeting, to participate in the ceremony and in the having fun with the activities afterwards.
Some important dates to remember:
? December 7th, Pacific Heights Christmas Party at Camp Seeone (more details to follow)
? Rememberance Day Services at Credit Union Center (Saskplace) Novemeber 11th at 10:00 am. Any Beavers attending should be in full uniform. She your pride and Remember those who have died for our freedom.
Quick note to Beaver parents The Beavers are doing a Popcorn blitz for our next meeting. Meet at the gym at 6:30 and we will give instructions from there. Please make sure you are in uniform and dressed appropriately for the weather (jackets, mittens etc) afterwards we will come back to the gym for some hot choloate and a a treat.
- Popcorn orders are due on October 29, 2008. All orders must be in.
- 56th Pacific Heights is holding our Second Annual Christmas Party. This is a mini camp for the entire family. December 7th, 2008 at camp seeone. Village, times, and theme TBA.
- November 3rd is our next area meeting all are welcome please call Scouter Norm (683-0467) if you are interested in attending
- Next group Committee meeting for 56th Pacific heights is October 19th, 2008 at 7:00 pm at Father Vachon school. All parents are welcome to attend. Come to the meetings to give your input as to how our programs and the year in general will run.
Don't forget your dues Our weekly dues are 50 cents. Beavers please bring those dues to a leader as soon as you come to Beavers, so you can exchange it for a woodchip.
Welcome Thanks for joining Cubs. This will be a fun filled year with lots of trips, badgework and most of all FUN!
We always welcome Mom and Dad and other family members to come and help out or just watch from the sidelines.
Can't wait to meet you all on Wednesday.
